Berkley South Condos come in three different sizes. The smallest units are studios or you can pick from a one or two bedroom layout. The two bedroom units come with two bathrooms and the single bedroom units come with one and a half baths. The studio comes with just one bathroom. Bedrooms are large in all of the units and they come with walk in closets for extra space. All of the exterior units come with large balconies. Those units have a fantastic view of the ocean, intracoastal or both. Since this complex is so close to the beach the units come equipped with hurricane impact windows and doors. 

Prices start around $175,000 and can be as high as $400,000 for the two bedroom units. 

The Berkley South Building is Clean and Secure

The Berkley South is second to none in all that it has to offer. Being close to the beach is a must for most people visiting or living in South Florida but does it have the essential amenities to make it a fabulous stay? The downstairs lobby has a 24/7 front desk to ensure comfort and safety for all residents. On the second level there is a community pool that is heated year round. So you can enjoy the pool even in the cooler months of the year. If you want to have a friendly match of tennis go no further than right outside to the tennis courts. There are also a shuffle board court and a BBQ area to have a family cook out. No need to have a gym membership when staying at the Berkley South because a full gym with free weights and machines is available at your convenience. Last but not least, the Berkley South offers a clubroom for all the residents. The clubroom comes equipped with a kitchen, wi-fi internet, seating up to 100 guests and it is adjacent to the community pool. Reserving the clubroom for a family get together is easy by just visiting the management office to make arrangements. 

Berkley South does require a monthly HOA fee. The fee pays for the upkeep and safety of the entire property. The HOA fee starts around $500 a month and can be as much as $649 for the 2/2 units. 

Living in Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale is a great place to be. It does not have the big city feel like Miami yet offers just as much to do. Berkley South Condos are north of the city and right in the middle of shopping and dining. Just walking distance from the condo are three amazing places to go out to eat. Flip Flops Dockside Eatery sits on the intracoastal and comes with a fabulous Key West style menu. Flip Flops is a great place to catch some lunch and watch the boats coast along the water. Next to that is a place called Shooters Waterfront. Shooters offers a very elegant and relaxing atmosphere as you pick from the many varieties on the menu. Anything from a Pan Roasted Florida Grouper to a Marinated Sword Fish Sandwich. If you are in the mood for a wide variety of seafood then head over to the upscale Chart House. Chart House has been around for over 50 years. They offer amazing seafood platters and a full bar. Besides the great restaurants near the Berkley South there are plenty of convenient stores and shops along A1A.
